Tablets must be taken in the order directed on
the package everyday at about the same time with some liquid as
needed. 1 tab is to be taken daily for 21 consecutive days. Each
subsequent pack is started after a 7-day tablet-free interval,
during which time, a withdrawal bleed usually occurs. This usually
starts on days 2-3 after the last tablet and may not have finished
before the next pack is
started. |

Venous or arterial thromboembolic events
including MI & CVA. Prodromi of thrombosis (transient ischaemic
attack, angina pectoris), migraine w/ focal neurological symptoms,
diabetes mellitus w/ vascular involvement. Severe or multiple risk
factors for venous or arterial thrombosis. Pancreatitis, severe
hepatic disease, benign or malignant liver tumours, renal
impairment. Sex steroid-influenced malignant conditions of the
genitals or breasts, undiagnosed vag bleeding. Severe
dyslipoproteinemia, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia or
hypertriglyceridemia. Coagulopathy. Pregnancy.

Circulatory thromboembolic disorders, tumours,
diabetes, hypertension, dyslipoproteinaemia, valvular heart disease,
atrial fibrillation, smoking, prolonged immobilisation, major
surgery, or any surgery to the legs. Multiple sclerosis,
otosclerosis, Sydenham's chorea, SLE, sickle cell anaemia,
inflammatory bowel disease. Lactation.

Breast tenderness, pain & secretion,
menstrual disorder, intermenstrual bleeding; headache; libido
changes, depressive moods, migraine, hypertension, hypotension,
thromboembolism, contact lens intolerance, GI disturbances, changes
in vag secretion, skin reactions, fluid retention, wt changes,
hypersensitivity reactions.
